Batman, also known as the playboy philantrophist Bruce Wayne, is the one superhero in Gotham City that had a hard life after his parents were gunned down in front of him as a child. At the funeral, Bruce was so distraught that he ran off, only to fall into a pit full of bats (his childhood greatest fear) in what would soon become the Batcave. He has many dangerous enemies, including The Penguin, The Riddler, Catwowan, Two-Face, Man-Bat, Killer Moth, The Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Clayface, The Mad Hatter, Bane, The Joker and his accomplice, Harley Quinn. These villains all want 1 thing: To KILL Batman. The Scarecrow was a mad scientist who went by Jonathan Crane, and makes toxins that stimulate phobias, The Penguin is a British crime boss with dwarfism whose real name is Oswald Cobblepot, The Riddler was originally Edward Nigma, Gotham's forensics expert,Catwoman is a jewel thief named Selina Kyle, Two-Face was Harvey Dent, Gotham's district attorney,Man-Bat was a mammilian mad scientist named Kirk Langstrom, Killer Moth is Drury Walker, a deep despiser of Batman, Poison Ivy is a plant-loving villain whose real name is Pamela Lillian Isley, Clayface was an actor named Basil Karlo, The Mad Hatter is also a scientist named Jervis Tetch, Bane is a South American criminal, and Harley was originally The Joker's psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum, where she was then known as Harleen Quinzel until Harleen fell in love with The Joker. The Joker, who was a victim of domestic violence from his violent, alcoholic dad whom he was always trying to make smile, refuses to reveal his secret identity and was only known otherwise as Red Hood, DC Comics' version of Deadpool, before he fell into a vat of white hydrochloric acid. This severely disfigured the Joker's face, and mercury, which caused him to lose his mind. Then, he got his hair dyed green and spiked it up to resemble a clown. Batman's sidekick, Robin, started out like me: a brown-haired Batman nerd with glasses, but back then he went by Dick Grayson until Batman's butler, Alfred Pennyworth, convinced him to take the kid under his wing. Well, actually, young Dick's parents were shot dead on a tightrope by an assassin who was hired by a gangster in a show of power. The killer was known as Deadshot. Eventually, though, Grayson got sick of Batman treating him like a little kid and went it alone as Nightwing. Then, Jason Todd, the second Robin, became Batman's new sidekick, but Batman questioned Todd's methods and Jason Todd became the reformed version of Red Hood. The current Robin is Tim Drake. Going back to the villians, Batman's most easy-to-catch enemy, The Riddler, AKA Edward Nigma (see the pun?) loves any puzzles, especially riddles.
Batman was created by comic artist Bob Kane on July 23, 1939 when Kane was working at DC Comics and is now the superhero with the most movies made after him: Batman: The Movie (1966), Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992), Batman Forever (1995), Batman And Robin (1997), Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Batman v Superman (2016), and he has a brief appearance in Suicide Squad (2016). Sheldon Cooper from the sitcom The Big Bang Theory even has a smile reminiscent to the Joker. Batman is a very big part in pop culture, and even I idolize the Caped Crusader. Batman even made his Lego debut in 2006, and even has a series of video games based on him. Well, I did tell you you would see a picture of Batman, so here it is. I have seen people make Lego batman episodes in stop-motion. Batman's signature weapon, the Batarang, was preceded by what killed his parents: a gun.
