The National Hockey League or the N.H.L is the worlds best hockey league. It's first game was played on December 17th 1917. Without argument the N.H.L is the best Hockey league in the world.My favorite team is the BostonBruins and they orginated in 1924 and were Americas first N.H.L team. They are one of the N.H.L's oringal six teams and will celabrate their 100th year in the league in 2024. Just recently they fired their head coach of ten years in Claude Julien who was the franchies all time winningest head coach.The Bruins have won six Stanley Cup championships since becoming a team in 1924. The best player in Bruins History is Bobby Orr and right now it is Patrice Bergeron or Brad Marchand.

The NHL today has 30 teams and nine are in Califona, Texas, Florida, and North Carilina.None of those teams would be around if not for Wayne Gretzky because of what he did with the Los Angeles Kings leading them to a Stanley cup final today the Kings are one of the best teams in the league having won 3 championships since 2012.
