Thunder Bolt
The thunder Bolt has a nick name to, it's nick name is wart hog. the thunder bolt is a AirForce airplane. it is used for carying heavy weapons like tanks, armored car, guns, etc. So say you need a tank from Brazil then people will take the wart hog/thunder bolt and fly to Brazil and from there people would load the tank and thenfly back to America and used the tanks for like war or like testing it for them.Did you know that 1,200 pounds of titanium is protecting the airplane or is covering the Thunder bolt. Also the 16% of the weight on the Thunder Bolt is the heavy gun on the front of the Thunder bolt. Did you know that the thunder bolt is one of the greatest successes in world war two. and in world war two they made over 12,000 thunder bolts for the airforce. and in 1943 the thunder bolt was modified to 'lower the rear deck and incorporate a buble canopy that eliminated the blind spot.' the disign of this airplane and the matrial is made up of honeycomb panels, this help with war when people/enamys are shooting your wing or engine. Cool fact people will paint the canopy so that you can cunfuse enemy forces about the attitude of the aircraft. A attitude is "a position of the body proper to or implying an action or mental state."The front gear landing is offset to allow room for the 30mm cannon/mini gun. Is one of the slowest planes because it is the bigest aairplane or rather one of the biggest planes. Do you know most planes have more than one engine but the thunder bolt/wart hog only has one engine and I thought that this perticler plane would have more than one engine because its really massive size. But really the plane has one really big engine.
