The Young Marines are so much better than the boy and girl scouts because we intensly promote a healthy, drug free lifestyle. We educate our members on what drugs do to your mind, body, and well-being. Also, we get opportunities to travel the country together and volunteer to help our community. |
WHAT WE DO:
The Young Marines (as mentioned above) promotes a drug and alchohol-free lifestyle. But, primarily, we work to set a desirable goal every year for volunteer hours. We volunteer at events such as, First Friday, Positively Pomfret Day, The Fire and Ice Valentine's Day Festival, and The Razzle Dazzle Light Christmas Parade. |
WHY JOIN THE YOUNG MARINES?:
The primary reason that I joined the Young Marines was because I had heard about it from a friend and it sounded like something I might like. And boy, I coulden't have been less wrong. In the Young Marines, you get the opportunity to travel the world, make friends that will end up being like family, and aid your community and world in being better. |
