Constellation

Do you know what constallations are? They are groups of stars in the sky that forms an imaginary outline usally representing an animal, mythalogical person or creature, god, or an inanamate object.

The summer triangle is made of the 3 stars, Deneb(Cygnus), Vega(Lyra), and Altair(Aquila). The summer triangle can only be seen in the summer.

Cygnus in latin means swan. Cygnus is als known as the Northern Cross. One of its brightest star is Deneb, one of the corners of the summer triangle.

Aquila in latin means eagle. This represents the bird that caried Zues/Jupiter's thunderbolt. The britest star in Aquila is Altair, one of the stars in the summer triangle.

Lyra in latin is lyre. Lyra is often represented on star maps as vulture or eagle holding a lyre, and because of that lyra is often referred to the Vultur Cadens(Falling vulture) and Aquila Cadens(Falling eagle). Lyras brightest star is vega, one of the stars in the summer triangle.

Orion is constellation named after a greek mythology hunter. Orions most brightest star is Rigel.

Ursa Majors also known as the Great bear, latin name means greater or larger she bear. Ursa Major has the big dipper in it.

Ursa Minors name means "the smaller bear" or "the lesser bear. Ursa Minor has the Little Dipper. Ursa Minor has the star, Polaris, located on the end of the dippers handle.
