Tank Sizes: Betta fish need tanks that are at least 2.5 gallons or larger but the best tank size you should have is 5 gallons. |
What Bettas like in their tanks: Bettas like places to hide around the tanks. They also like to have live plants in the tanks to help their fins and to clean the water. |
What bettas eat: Bettas like things that float such as pelets, bloodworms, brine shrimp and daphnia. |
Water temperature: bettas do not like cold water, cold water can make them ill or stressed. The temperature the water in the tank should be around 74 degrees. |
More than one fish: Betta fish (also known as the Siamese Fighting Fish) they are known by this name because the male bettas fight with the other males until one dies or untill one is almost dead. How ever the female betta fish can be in the same tank with other female bettas as long if the tank is big enough for both of them. |
