A History of Comics

Comics and Comic books have been around for quite some time. Some comedic, like Calvin and Hobbes, or gruesome, like Prince Valiant. But, to understand what a comic is, we should look into the history.
In 1800, some of the first comics in the newspaper, were political comics to bring down,"Boss" Tweed and his corrupt political machine in the 1870's through a series of heavily critical comics of Tweed. Later in 1897, The Yellow Kid in McFadden's Flats, a comic book by richard felton about a child in bare feet and a long yellow dress and hat, was the first comic BOOK in history. Then, in 1933 a book called Funnies On Parade became the first color comic book.
Soon, in 1938, comic books like Superman, a comic book about a hero who can almost never be defeated started to come out. Becoming extremely popular.
Let's go to modern times, 2019, comic books are very popular. Now, they are not just about superheroes, some are history, others for educational purposes. but, now they are used around the world.

I decided to choose a happy, musical girl (shown by her smile and headphones) because I am happy when I play or hear music. (unless its opera or doo-wop. They are not my favorite) I love how she has stripes on becuase like stripes on my O.C's (original characters). her name is Hannah and she is a confident, popular person who plays the bass.
